ABSE Atoms
While developing with ABSE you'll work with three kinds of Atoms:
Atom Organizers
These are neutral Atoms that are used help create meaningful structures in Atom Libraries. They can define Libraries, group Atom Templates, and group Atom Instances as library includes.
Atom Templates
Atom Templates always reside on an Atom Library, and define the metamodels (building blocks) of any ABSE model. They can also act as aggregators of an unlimited number of Atom Instances. With Atom Templates you can capture your own knowledge and build models of the way you develop software.
Atom Instances
Act as a manifestation of an Atom Template. Atom Instances are the actual models that make up an ABSE tree on a software project. After you captured your knowledge into Atom Templates, you apply it by creating and combining Atom Instances in your Project Model.
