Due to its granular nature, an ABSE model can be concurrently manipulated, provided there is tool support.
Using the typical check-in/check-out process, two or more developers can work on the same ABSE model. Individual atoms or tree branches can be checked-in or out, versioned and conditionally enabled/disabled.

Since ABSE can also model processes, you can use a supporting tool (like AtomWeaver) to define and apply workflows in your team. Change requests, issue tracking, code reviews, all become manageable and integrated.
